Question: How would you deal with an angry customer?
Possible Answer: I would remain calm and listen to the issue. Once I feel I have a full understanding of the problem, I would work with the customer to either try to remedy the situation or provide the best possible solution in order to retain the patron as a customer.
Question: What would you do if you witnessed a fellow employee stealing from the store?
Possible Answer: I would first approach the employee about the situation, and if the two of us were unable to reconcile the situation, I would then go to a manager about it.
Question: Can you describe a time when you disagreed with policy and how did you handle the situation?
Possible Answer: I generally try to follow guidelines as they’re set forth, but at my last job I had an issue with our time-off system. I thought of a few ways the system might work better and openly presented the ideas with my manager in private. We were able to compromise and came up with a system using both of our ideas that benefited everyone.
